Forcepoint DLP (Data Loss Prevention) is a security solution that helps organizations prevent sensitive data from being lost or stolen.

It uses a combination of techniques such as content analysis, policy enforcement, and incident response to detect and prevent data exfiltration.

It can monitor network traffic, email, and other forms of data communication for sensitive information and take action to prevent it from being transmitted or accessed by unauthorized individuals. It also includes features such as data encryption, data masking and incident reporting.

Creating a Forcepoint DLP connection

To create the connection you need:

  • Server Address
  • Application Username
  • Application Password

Creating your connection

  1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
  2. Select the Forcepoint DLP icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
  3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
  4. Select Basic Authentication as the method to make the connection.
  5. Fill in the parameters:
    • Server Address
    • Application Username
    • Application Password
  6. (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
  7. Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
