IAM Attach Group Policy

Attaches the specified managed policy to the specified IAM group.

You use this operation to attach a managed policy to a group. To embed an inline policy in a group, use PutGroupPolicy.

Basic Parameters

ParameterDescription
AWS Region(s)Enter the desired AWS Region(s).

To execute the action in multiple regions, provide a comma-separated list.
For example: us-east-1,eu-west-2.

If you wish to run the action in all available regions, use the asterisk symbol (*) instead.
Group NameThe name (friendly name, not ARN) of the group to attach the policy to.

This parameter allows (through its regex pattern) a string of characters consisting of upper and lowercase alphanumeric characters with no spaces. You can also include any of the following characters: _+=,.@-.
Policy ARNThe Amazon Resource Name (ARN). ARNs are unique identifiers for Amazon Web Services resources.
